When a video game—usually a dedicated Romance Game, RPGs, or Wide-Open Sandbox—allows the player to pursue a love interest of the same gender alongside a bevy of heterosexual options.
This trope has increased in prevalence since the late 2000s due to increased visibility of queer people. And as an interactive medium, it's possible for a game to include such content while giving those uninterested in same-sex romance the option of skipping it. This means that games that include romance include increasingly allowed the protagonist the option to intimacy a few characters of the same gender.

Friends of Mineral Town is a remake of the classic Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. It’s considered by many to be the best entry of the franchise, but organism a game from 2003, there was no official gay romance option. Amusingly, reaching maximum affection with a male NPC was instead called the “Best Friends” system, despite by all accounts being gay.

I’ve been thinking about writing a choice game that is based completely on guys.
I have the authentic story written to four chapters currently but I haven’t developed it into anything in particular.
It’s about a young guy (probably 16 - 18, TBC) who has a less than normal dream about a certain guy from a downtown nightclub. The dream leads to certain other things in the boy’s life that transform and shape his last years as a adolescent adult, for better or for worse: the selection is yours.
As you progress through the story you discover secrets, love, lies and a sinister plot brewing in the heart if the Downtown district…
Gender locked male story with the planned eventual selection of five ROs.
Be a strong popular Jock, a young “mad” scientist, a bookworm, a uppermost athletics student or a drama student.
Find cherish and learn what you can about your friends…and enemies…
This story will comprise a few mature scenes that won’t be suitable for younger readers.
