Norman Reedus covers GQ for the month of October, and in the lengthy Q&A he opens up about what draws him to dark roles and why he could never observe himself being the "sweet boyfriend" in a romcom. But the most significant section of "The Walking Dead" star's interview is when he seemingly confirms Daryl Dixon is evening -- or at least admits that's how he plays the character.

Norman Reedus plays one of the most loved characters, Daryl Dixon, on one of TV’s most trendy shows, The Walking Dead. So naturally he is going to be the source of some famous person gossip rumors. When Reedus isn’t (not really) expired or (not really) quitting the show, he is apparently either gay or homophobic. There have been a lot report popping up that claim the show was going to make Reedus’ character queer , and that he begged the producers to not do it. Now, Reedus has shot down the reports, with what only was an arrow of truth, from a crossbow of righteousness….OK, so it was via Twiter, but we were close.

“The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus weighed in on the possibility of his nature, Daryl Dixon, being male lover in a “Conan” interview on Tuesday.
“If that’s the story they gave me, I would rock that story. I’m not nervous of it,” Reedus said.
While most of the characters in the show are derived from the comic books on which the series is based, Reedus’ character was created exclusively for the AMC drama, making his backstory an easy target for speculation.
Reedus said he discussed the idea of Daryl entity gay early on with then-executive producer Frank Darabont, who exited the reveal after season one.
“I (was) like ‘Hell yeah, let’s do it,'” Reedus recalled saying to Darabont when asked if he’d be open to the possibility.
“Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman has talked about Daryl’s sexuality before, first in the letters column of the “Walking Dead” comic and then during “The Talking Dead” aftershow. When asked if the traits might be gay,
Norman Reedus might not possess the opportunity to perform out a gay storyline on "The Walking Dead," but if he did, he'd rock it.
The actor discussed his ethics Daryl Dixon's sexuality with Conan O'Brien Wednesday. Fans were buzzing about the hunky badass over the summer as theories circulated that Daryl's plot resembled that of Jesus, a gay character in the comic book. Creator Robert Kirkman said Daryl's sexuality had been "discussed" and that they had "very specific ideas" about it.
Reedus told O'Brien that he and former showrunner Frank Darabont had a discussion about his ethics being gay very prior on in the series and Reedus was into it. But some fans apparently weren't as enthusiastic.
"When that rumor went around, I'd go to these convention-type things and you would have minute kids come over and go, 'Man, I don't care what's going on. You're awesome,'" Reedus said. "And then you'd contain like guys my age or a little bit older, and they'd be like, 'Uhh.' And then you'd have women that were like, 'You'd improve not be!'"
