Is Vinnie Vincent Living as a Woman? Former Embrace Guitarist Promises Answers
When reclusive former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent re-emerged earlier this year after about 20 years away from cameras, it raised a lot of questions. But not just the usual ones; Vincent's appearance prompted many fans to wonder whether the guitarist was transitioning into life as a woman.
Vincent appeared at the Atlanta KISS Expo in January after decades away from public view. The guitarist appeared to be wearing makeup with blush and eye shadow (which on its own is not that out of the ordinary for a rock star) along with a women's pant suit.
The longtime KISS collaborator and member of the band from 1982 - 1984 took questions from adoring audiences at events in Atlanta, Orlando and Nashville but never addressed his appearance. It doesn't look as though he was asked about it until recently during an interview on the Noize in the Attic podcast.
Vincent initially seemed to scoff at the notion that he was living as a woman, but then he suggested there's more to it.
"Not that I know of," he told the show when asked if he was transitioning. "I don't recognize where they
FORMER KISS GUITARIST VINNIE VINCENT DISCUSSES RUMORS ABOUT HIS GENDER INDENTITY
Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent has addressed rumors about his gender identity.
During a brand novel interview with Greg Schmitt of WESU’s syndicated radio show Noize In The Attic, Vinnie finally responded to Internet rumors about his sexuality but declined to answer the ask directly, explaining that he wanted to keep a mystique about the subject (audio transcribed via blabbermouth.net).
Asked if there is any truth to the reports that he is living his life as a woman, the guitarist said, “Not that I understand of. I don’t comprehend where they came up with this stuff… But see, if I handle that, then the mystique is gone. See, everybody loves the mystique. I think they love the mystique, because they don’t know. So maybe I’ll say, ‘I’ll let you guys decide,’ but then everyone is still talking.
“I get mistaken all the time for something else, but what can I do?” he added. “So when somebody… you proper ’em, and they travel, ‘I don’t understand.’ So they go, ‘Well…’ ‘Then I won’t correct you
What Kiss’ Ace Frehley and Bruce Kulick Think of Vinnie Vincent
Like many of us, Bruce Kulick and Ace Frehley don't appear to have Vinnie Vincent figured out quite yet.
In separate recent interviews, the two former Kiss guide guitarists shared their thoughts on the famously reclusive Vincent, who replaced Frehley in the group in 1982 but was dismissed early in 1984 over creative and personal differences.
"Vinnie Vincent played too fast," Frehley told Guitar Player. "I never paid much attention to him as far as anything else. I know that Paul [Stanley] used to whine to me about Vinnie. He said that he was like a loose cannon and that he played things too quick, and they couldn't direct him."

Frehley, Vincent and Kulick played together for the first (and as you'll soon study, probably last) time at a May 2022 reveal in Nashville, trading riffs and solos over the backing tracks to Kiss' "Deuce" and "Cold Gin."
Although Vincent wowed the crowd with a 15-minute opening unaccompanied guitar solo, Frehley remains less than impressed by his
Ex-KISS Guitarist VINNIE VINCENT Addresses Rumors About His Gender Identity
Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent has addressed rumors about his gender self.
In recent years, Vincent has been the subject of wild online speculation, including that he has been cross-dressing and that he has undergone a sex change. In addition, Vincent was the center of a 2017 Swedish TV documentary called "KISS Och Gitarristen Som Försvann" ("KISS And The Guitarist Who Disappeared") which apparently tried, unsuccessfully, to footpath Vinnie down and fetch him to sit down for an interview. The filmmakers also brought up the rumor that the musician was living his life as a lady, although the subject was reportedly left open-ended.
During a brand new interview with Greg Schmitt of WESU's syndicated radio show "Noize In The Attic", Vinnie finally responded to the Internet chatter about his sexuality but declined to answer the question directly, explaining that he wanted to keep a mystique about the subject.
Asked if there is any correctness to the reports that he is living his life as a chick, the guitarist said (hear audio below): "Not that I know of. I don't know where they came up
