    The NYC LGBT Collective Center

The NYC LGBT Community Center (The Center) was established in 1983 at the height of the AIDS crisis to provide a safe and affirming place for Gay New Yorkers to respond to the urgent threats facing the community. We are today—as we were then—a place of security, connection, activism, and pleasure. Today, we have over 300,000 annual visitors; 400 community groups call our space home; and we offer a host of direct services to those seeking accessible, affordable and affirming support.

Operating in-person and virtually, we provide recovery and wellness programs, economic advancement initiatives, family and youth support, advocacy, arts and cultural programming, and space for community organizing, connection, and celebration.

Your donation ensures that LGBTQ Fresh Yorkers have a society center to call their home. A gift of $35 provides you a year-long Center Membership! Or consider a gift of $60 or more to provide membership for your entire family. Follow us on social media @lgbtcenternyc and stay up to date on our current news and events by subscribing to Center Happenings at gaycenter.org/newsletter.
